Hoppy Easter!

A simple yet thoughtful card can brighten anyone’s day! Easter is a wonderful time to send a thoughtful card to a loved one or friend. Let me show you just how simple it is to create a thoughtful card that will sure put a smile on someone’s face!

Similar to my last post I made these cards with cardstock and materials I had in my craft room. I try to keep materials such as embellishments and cardstock on hand. You never know when inspiration will hit! I try to keep an eye out for sales at Michaels. I subscribed to their email list and also have a Michael’s app on my Smartphone. The Dollar store is another great place to purchase materials on a budget.

Supply List

v Cardstock
v Cricut Expression Machine
v Cricut Trimmer
v Cricut Spring Holiday Card Cartridge
v Ribbons
v 3D Glue Dots
v Tape Runner
v Embellishments (pearl gems for the bunny’s nose, and flowers)
v Bone tool
v Hot glue gun

Instructions:

Before starting a project I like to pick out my cardstock. For this project you will need three different colors. I choose two solid colors of cardstock and one patterned cardstock.

Next, I choose my images from the Cricut Spring Holiday Card Cartridge. This cartridge is great for creating spring cards!  I choose to cut a “bunny” with white card stock and the “Hoppy Easter” image with a cranberry cardstock. I cut both of the images at 5 ½.  This is an excellent cartridge if you’re looking to make multiple cards.

Once everything is cut out you may now begin to build and decorate your card! Depending on the size of your card measure the amount of ribbon you’ll need. I like to tape the ends of the ribbon in place (I taped it to the cranberry cardstock before gluing it to the patterned paper).

Next, mount the cranberry cardstock to the patterned paper. Finally, adhere everything to the card (white cardstock). Use a bone tool to help fold your card. This will give you a clean and crisp fold. If you don’t have a bone tool you can try using a ruler (but be careful not to press to hard. You may rip the paper).

Now it’s time to "jazz up" your card. Place three 3D Glue dots behind the bunny and adhere him into place.  Lastly, with a hot glue gun glue your flower embellishment in place. Using a hot glue gun will ensure that your flower won't fall off.

See how easy and effortless that was! In just 20 minutes you can create a beautiful Easter card that will be sure to brighten someone’s day!

Happy Easter Everyone!
